Civil Technician / Designer

CFA, Inc. is a Northern Nevada Land Surveying, Civil Engineering and Land Use Planning firm that has been in business since 1981. We are seeking a skilled Civil Technician or Civil Designer with a diverse skill set and knowledge of the industry. This position will be responsible for performing civil engineering drafting & design duties, often being part of a project team and under the supervision of a registered civil engineer.

The ideal qualified candidate will have the following skills and experience

  • At least three (3) years of experience in civil engineering working on a wide variety of projects, required.
  • Experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD computer assisted drafting software, with preference given to the candidate with prior Civil 3D experience.
  • Provide drafting & design support for site layout, grading/drainage/utility design, roadway design, bmp/erosion control plans, details and exhibits.
  • Engineer Intern certification, preferred.
  • College experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
