The Villanova Bus Maintenance Facility Renovation and Expansion project consisted of essential facility improvements that were required to allow RTC to modernize its fleet The existing facility was inadequate for efficiently maintaining diesel-hybrid electric buses, articulated buses and electric buses. Without these improvements, the RTC was unable to replace conventional diesel buses that had reached the end of their useful life with the newer, cleaner technologies that help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the overall quality of life for the residents of the Reno-Sparks community. CFA provided landscape architecture and survey services for the project. The project was completed in 2016.
