The RTC Corrective Maintenance Program addresses low to moderate distresses in the existing roadway surface utilizing various treatments including permanent patching: placing cape and microsurface seals; and milling and overlaying. Corrective maintenance is used to extend the useful pavement life while postponing the need for full reconstruction. CFA was hired to complete the 2015 Corrective Maintenance Project, which included evaluating existing conditions of various streets in Reno, Sparks and Washoe County, developing an economical mode of corrective treatment for each, preparation of construction bid documents and monitoring the project construction. CFA provided topographic survey, civil design, construction management services and staking. Construction was completed in 2016.
